Former DySP and social activist Anupama Shenoy has alleged that the private liquor lobby may be funding the agitation in Delhi involving the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Congress.
Addressing reporters at Press Club here on Monday, Shenoy questioned the funding sources of the CJP, alleging that its status as an unregistered entity raised concerns about financial accountability. She also criticised AAP leaders Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia over the Delhi liquor policy controversy.
Shenoy further alleged that the CJP was using a remark by Supreme Court Justice Surya Kant describing someone as a “cockroach” to mobilise support against the judiciary. She further claimed that the movement was being projected as a political fight against the PM Narendra Modi government while it was actually targeting judiciary.
Anupama Shenoy also condemned K N Rajanna’s removal from the state cabinet, calling it unjust. She demanded his reinstatement by October 26 and warned of intensified protests if the government fails to act.
